All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.  2Timothy 3:16 (NAS)

Another benefit we reap from God’s Word is training in righteousness. When we approach Scripture as disciples, seeking to apply His truth to our everyday lives, God uses His Word to thoroughly equip us for every good work He has ordained.

The Bible is the believer’s road map and paradigm for life’s journey.  In it we learn to draw closer to our heavenly Father, reflect the love of Jesus Christ, and make space for the Holy Spirit to be at work in our hearts. When we come humbly and willingly, our time in God’s Word changes us and prepares us for God’s perfect plan for our lives. The Scriptures are a source of truth and life.  They are endlessly rich and profound, and in them we always find our Lord and Savior.

Dear Lord,

I love Your Word. I never get tired of it-it is endlessly beautiful, challenging, and inspiring. Thank You for breathing Your Word into existence, and for protecting it through time so that it still speaks to Your children every day.

I love You, Lord.
