I remember the days of old;
I meditate on all that you have done;
I ponder the work of your hands.
Psalm 143:5 (ESV)
To ponder means to think deeply about something. How often, in my busy-ness, do I stop to truly think deeply about my Savior and meditate on His word? The antidote to my anxiety or worry lies in centering my attention on the attributes of God and to remember His faithfulness to me each and every day. In the words of the hymn writer, lets “ponder anew what The Almighty can do.”
Heavenly Father,
In these quiet morning moments, I come before You just to praise You for who You are. You are my Sovereign Savior, just and holy in all that You do. You are my Rock and my Redeemer. You are my Good Shepherd. Draw me closer to You as fix my thoughts on Your attributes. Quiet my anxious heart as I ponder Your endless glory and grace.
I love You, Lord.
Amen
