Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you believe so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.  Romans 15:13 (CSB) 

What is your heart filled with today? Are you hurting, or confused and afraid? Does peace seem far from you? This verse is a prayer.  Read it aloud, slowly. God wants to fill you with His joy and peace, but sometimes we allow circumstances to control our thoughts and emotions and undermine our faith. Once we have trusted Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we receive a gift that transcends the troubles of this world.  God gives us the indwelling of His Holy Spirit. The Spirit of God resides within us! We can release our burdens to Him and hold fast to the promise of His presence. God desires us to live a life overflowing with hope, joy, and peace. He makes it possible through the power of the Holy Spirit. 

Lord Jesus,

I don’t want to allow my circumstances to control my walk with You. I know You love me, Lord, and I thank You for the gift of Your Holy Spirit. Help me never to take for granted the power of Your Spirit in my life. Help me to hear Your voice instead of the noise of this world. Only You can give me true peace, hope, and joy.
