Look at how great a love the Father has given us that we should be called God’s children. And we are!  1 John 3:1 (HCSB)

Read this verse one more time, slowly. How does it make you feel? You are a child of God. When you put your faith and trust in Jesus, you become a member of the family of God. The Lord loves us so much that He sent His Son, Jesus, to dwell with us. Then, because of our debt of sin, which we could never repay, God allowed His Son to go to the cross and pay for our sins. That is how much God loves us. We will never fully comprehend all the sacrifices God endured for us. We can, however, rejoice in the fact that God lavishes His love on us every day.  We are members of His family. Thank You, Jesus!

Lord, 

As one of Your children, please don’t let me forget that I belong to You. Thank you for sending your Son for my sins. Help me to have a joyful and thankful heart as I start this day. Please help me to focus on You and not all the circumstances around me. I praise You with all my heart!
