My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.  John 14:2-3 NIV

Jesus’ words to His disciples also apply directly to us today – He is preparing our eternal home! It is thrilling to imagine that Jesus will receive us to Himself! Just as we carefully prepare our homes when expecting guests, Jesus eagerly prepares a place for His family in the Father’s house. What a glorious homecoming it will be! His heart overflows with love and joy as He awaits the moment to welcome us.

What a majestic and loving God You are! May I never take Your goodness and grace for granted. I cling to Your promises in Scripture, knowing with certainty that You will never leave me nor forsake me. Thank You for understanding my needs, my weaknesses, and my dreams. Thank You for faithfully preparing my future home. Thank You, Jesus, for Your presence, Your promises, and Your unfailing love. Help me to trust in You more completely each day.

I love You, Lord.
