I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.  John 14:6 (HCSB)

The Amen, the faithful and true Witness, the Originator of God’s creation says:      Revelation 3:14b (HCSB)

El Emet, God of Truth, is the name used by David in Psalm 31, but the excellence of the name is revealed in Jesus. El Emet focuses on God’s promise-keeping faithfulness; Jesus is the fulfillment of those promises. He is the consummation of all the Messianic promises and the embodiment of divine truth and faithfulness (John 1:14). The word emet begins with aleph, the first letter in the Hebrew alphabet, and ends with tav, the last letter, signifying that God is the beginning and the end of all truth. Jesus refers to Himself as the Beginning and the End (Rev. 22:13), a divine title that is His alone. The word emet also comes from the same root as amen-so be it. In Revelation 3, it is Jesus who is explicitly called the Amen, the faithful and true Witness. Truth is revealed to us through Jesus Christ. There is no other way we can know it.

Dear Lord,

Thank You for the truth of Your Word revealed to us in our Savior. Please give me an insatiable hunger for Your truth- never let me think I have enough. Absolute truth exists. El Emet makes every promise and blessing trustworthy.

I love You, Lord.

Amen.
