El Emet, God of Truth- this one name is inexhaustible in depth of meaning. It focuses on God’s unwavering faithfulness and the infallible truth of His Word. David uses this name as He cries out to God for rescue from his enemies. His complete trust in the Lord is built on God’s past protection and His promise that David would one day be king. He has personally experienced God’s steadfast faithfulness. He knows God’s truth to be absolute as well as powerful. Like David, we have complete security in the promises of God. The world is saturated with opinions, but there is only one source of perfect truth. God will fulfill His Word- we have only to trust.

God of Truth,

You have promised never to leave me or forsake me. No matter what challenges I face, I know that You are with me and I can rely on Your strength. Your faithfulness lifts my spirit high above all circumstances. Thank You for making me Your own.
