Then the Lord said to Moses, “Let them present their offering, one leader each day, for the dedication of the altar.”  Numbers 7:11 (NAS)

After God speaks these words to Moses, the next seventy-one verses record the offerings of all the tribes of Israel for the tabernacle. Each offering is described to the last detail, though they are all exactly alike. This is a beautiful picture of our loving heavenly Father. Where we may see carbon copy lists of numbers and weights, God sees individual, special offerings from His beloved children. None of us are insignificant or unimportant. Each of us is blessed by God with gifts and abilities of our own. Don’t ever believe that you have nothing special to contribute to God’s kingdom. Lay your talents on the altar and ask God to use them as He desires. Your offering matters.

Dear Lord,

Thank You for seeing and knowing Your children better than we know ourselves. Help us to recognize the strengths and talents You have given us so we can offer them back to You to bring You glory.

I love You, Lord.
