When my anxious thoughts multiply within me, Thy consolations delight my soul. Psalm 94:19 (NAS)
Anxious thoughts- everyone has them. After all, life is filled with circumstances beyond our control. It’s easy to harbor fears for ourselves, our families and friends, and these thoughts can quickly build up until we feel hopeless and overwhelmed. How can you be consoled when your concerns are so substantial? Remember who is in control. Consider God’s goodness- His past provision and protection; think of your many blessings- name them and thank God for each one. Reflect on His truth and promises and let these be the thoughts that multiply within you. The Lord is with you; He will never leave you or forsake you. You are precious in His sight. Nothing can separate you from the love of Jesus. God is your source of hope. This is the relief for your burdened heart. These are the consolations that delight your soul. You are more than a conqueror through Him who loves you.
Dear Lord,
I praise You for Your truth and for teaching me to walk in it. Thank You for the many ways You have blessed me and for reminding me to reject anxious thoughts that turn my focus from You.
I love You, Lord.
Amen.
