This is my practice: I obey Your precepts. Psalm 119:56 (HCSB)
Nobody masters riding a bicycle by reading an instruction book; some things can only be learned by experience. Living a godly life is one of those things. Reading the Word, listening to sermons, and participating in Bible studies are wonderful and worthwhile, but we must remember that God intends His wisdom to be practiced in everyday life. Living it must be a priority, or faith is of little use (James 2:17). If you want to to grow in wisdom and mature in the Christian life, let God’s Word be a matter of the heart, hands and habits. Be a living testimony to the love of Jesus.
Dear Lord,
When we are overwhelmingly busy, sometimes we forget that our relationship with You is not just a part of our life- it isour life. Everything we do is made better when we first commit it to You. Help us to be mindful of the power of Your presence. We truly want to honor You in every way.
I love You, Lord.
Amen.
