Then the King will say to those on His right, “Come, you who are blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.”   Matthew 25:34 (NAS)

When Jesus comes in His glory and is seated on His throne surrounded by His angels (Matthew 25:31), He extends a joyous invitation to those who have been faithful, He invites them into the Father’s promised kingdom. God literally makes the faithful to be co-heirs with Jesus. Just as Jesus once said “come” to those who were weary and heavy-laden, He now says “come” and receive your reward! The covenant, forgiveness, adoption, and sanctification all lead to the magnificent moment when the King in His glory says, “Come and receive your inheritance- a blessing of grace and favor from the Father- an inheritance of glory.” All that was your Father’s, He has given to you.

Dear Heavenly Father,

I know that we will one day come before Your throne, yet it is beyond my imagination. No picture I can form in my mind begins to do justice to Your glory. I eagerly await that triumphant day. Please help me make good use of the time You have given me until then. My heart’s desire is that You will call me Your faithful servant.

I love You, Lord.
