Morning Moments at FBC Senoia

Starting everyday with the JOY of the Lord!

Thursday March 5, 2026

And He said to them, “Come away by yourselves to a lonely place and rest awhile.” (For there were many people coming and going, and they did not even have time to eat.)  Mark 6:31 (NAS)

Jesus’ invitation to come away with Him to a secluded spot is an important one. The disciples, worn out from the demands of ministry, needed mental, physical, and spiritual renewal. Jesus, in His compassion, invited them to break away from the crowd to be alone with Him. We have the same need and the same invitation. The pressures of life, and the needs of people who depend on us can wear us down. Without rest, our fatigue can escalate to burnout. We need time alone with the Lord, to seek Him in Scripture and prayer and allow Him to replenish our spirits and feed our souls. He invites us to come and rest in Him.

Dear Lord,

You know our needs. Even when we are doing the work You have called us to do, we sometimes feel exhausted. Help us remember to take more time with You when we grow weary. You are so gracious to give us rest and strengthen us physically and spiritually. Thank You for inviting us to be alone with You.

I love You, Lord.

Amen.
