-one Lord, one faith, one baptism, 

Ephesians 4:5 (ESV)

The world teaches that we should “have faith”, either without making clear where we should place that faith or promoting faith in ourselves as the goal. But there is only one foundation of Christian faith- believing God and taking Him at His Word. The gospel messaged (1Cor. 15:3-4) is the only core truth that can unify believers from every region, language and culture in the world. No other faith can save a human soul or provide a foundation for a unified body of believers to continue the work of Christ until He returns for us.

Dear Lord, 

Thank You for Your Word and for Your Spirit who helps us to understand it.  Please help us be aware that You are at work in innumerable ways and places. We are so blessed to be able to worship You freely, and we pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ who don’t have that freedom. Please keep them safe as they seek You at great risk to themselves and their families.
