There is one body and one Spirit- just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call-  Ephesians 4:4 (ESV)

One Spirit gives life to the one body of Christian believers. Jesus accomplished the work of atonement, and The Holy Spirit applies it to each of us. He indwells every believer at the moment of salvation. He seals our redemption and gives us spiritual gifts to strengthen the body of Christ. There are other spirits active in this world, but there is only one Holy Spirit who is, in fact, God- the third person of the Trinity, whom Jesus sent to His people to comfort us, teach us, and remind us of truth. He is the One who awakens, enlightens and convicts us individually, and enables us to operate collectively as a unified body.

Dear Lord,

Thank You for calling me by the power of Your Spirit and opening my eyes to Your truth. I am always aware of Your presence. Your Spirit speaks to my heart in so many ways; please keep me quick to listen and to follow as You lead.

I love You, Lord.
