I sought the LORD and He answered me, and delivered me from all my fears. Psalm 34:4 (NAS)
The joy and peace of spending time with our heavenly Father doesn’t need to be relegated to a specific time of day or place. There is no such thing as praying the “right way.” If you think you are not good at praying, you allow the enemy to take hold of a most important part of your spiritual life. Praying is how we connect with God, and our prayers can be as individual as we are. God knows us intimately, and delights in our prayers. There is no formula. Come as you are and focus on Him. Bring him everything in your mind and on your heart. Then be still and listen. Just listen. Your heavenly Father wants to speak to you – give Him the opportunity to do so.
Dear Lord,
Thank You for always being near and for listening to my prayers. The time I spend with You fills me with comfort and peace. Please help me a good listener so I can learn to hear Your words of hope and know how You want to direct my steps.
I love You, Lord.
Amen.
