Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.   Ephesians 1:3 (NAS)

In his first few words to the Ephesian believers, Paul shows us the perfect way to start every day- in praise to God!  We bless Him with our words and our worship. His blessing to us is an already accomplished act of love and beneficence- secure, abundant spiritual blessings in Christ. We have been given grace, redemption, adoption, protection, and the steadfast, everlasting love of God. We have everything we need to live the Christian life, as well as all the joys of heaven to look forward to. Blessed with spiritual blessings beyond count, we should be living in a constant state of joyful expectation. The Lord of heaven and earth has given us Himself.

Dear Lord,

Thank You for equipping me to live every day in awareness of Your presence. I never want to take Your blessings for granted. Help me remember that You have already given me every spiritual blessing so that I can live victoriously as Your child.

I love You, Lord.
