The LORD has taken away the judgments against you.   Zephaniah 3:15a (ESV)

The LORD your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness; He will quiet you by his love; He will exult over you with loud singing. Zephaniah 3:17 (ESV)      

This prophecy is both specific in context and timeless in its promises. Zephaniah speaks about a time when God will end His judgment against Israel, not because they would cease to sin, but because of His great love. The breathtaking truth is that the promise is also for us, 3,000 years later. God does not change. He still rescues and saves the lost; He comforts and protects His children, and He is in our midst today. He came to us in the person of Jesus Christ and accomplished our salvation, and He rejoices over us- not just with singing, but with loud singing! It’s God’s pleasure to be close to you, to love you and quiet your anxious heart. God knows you personally and intimately, and He chooses to love you. Rest in His unchanging love.

Dear Lord,

We praise You for always being with us. You are mighty to save, and You have repealed Your righteous judgment against us. You delight in Your people, and we are privileged to be called Your own. We thank You and praise You, Lord, for this life-changing truth from Your Word.

I love You, Lord.
