There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.  Romans 8:1 (NAS)

It sounds too good to be possible but leaves no room for uncertainty. Despite our sin and self-centered nature, we are declared “not guilty” before God. We are granted a complete pardon from punishment, and the secure forgiveness of the Lord. Wrath is replaced by mercy because of Jesus Christ. His righteousness becomes our own. We have the profound assurance of a loving relationship with God the Father, made possible by the sacrifice of His Son, and facilitated by the Holy Spirit, who stirs our spirits to believe. And we have it NOW- don’t miss that. United to Jesus by faith, we stand before God in extravagant grace.

Dear Lord.

Your mercy and grace are unfathomable. Thank You for making me Your own. Thank You for the gift of new life and the confidence and peace I have because of Your promise.

I love You, Lord.
