And give thanks for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Ephesians 5:20 (NLT)
Thankfulness should be a way of life for every Christian believer- it reflects both the person and generosity of God. He is good, faithful and loving, and He provides, heals and helps. He is the Giver of all good gifts and the one who strengthens us in every situation. Giving thanks keeps us grounded in the Lord and deepens our faith. It also refreshes our spirits, as it is impossible to be truly grateful and still grumble or complain. When we are committed to gratefulness, we change our focus from self to the everlasting love of our Savior and Lord. And that changes everything.
Dear Lord,
Your love, mercy and kindness overwhelm me. I am so grateful for the ways You have blessed me and cared for me. In times of greatest joy and greatest difficulty, You have been with me. You are my Song of Celebration and my Rock of Refuge. There is no one like You.
I love You, Lord.
Amen.
