There is reserved for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will give me on that day, and not only to me, but to all who have loved His appearing.                                                           2Timothy 4:8   (NAS)

Can you imagine what it will be like on the day you stand face-to-face with Jesus? Although it will be more glorious than anything imaginable, there is more. We are told that we will receive a reward- the crown of righteousness- simply because we have loved Him and faithfully trusted Him from the day of our salvation. The promises and blessings that come to the children of God are all secured by faith in the One who loved us and gave Himself up for us. He has done all that was necessary to make us worthy of reward. We have only to believe and trust. Lord, make us faithful.

Dear Lord,

You chose to humble Yourself on my behalf to secure a spiritual inheritance for me that I could never earn or deserve. Your peace, favor and glory are mine only because You love me. Please help me to reflect Your love by the way I love others and to be sensitive to every opportunity to share the gospel message.

I love You, Lord.
