These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.  John 16:33  (NAS)

We live in a fallen world where pain and suffering, sin and sorrow surround us and touch our lives every day. But Jesus speaks peace to us right in the middle of all adversity and affliction. He is not a distant God testing our fortitude. He came to earth and lived among men to conquer sin and death. He suffered and overcame and now walks with us to strengthen and guide us through our own suffering. He not only walks beside us, He gives us His own sweet Spirit to dwell within us and give us peace. This is our God. This is our King. He is our hope and victory.

Dear Lord,

It is a good thing to need You, because You never fail me. You comfort me, remind me of Your truth, and strengthen my faith. I know that troubles and problems will come, but they are not the end of my story. Thank You for Your inexhaustible love. Thank    you for always being with me.

I love You, Lord.

Amen.
