What a beautiful benediction Paul speaks over us- hope, joy, and peace. He begins with God as the source of our hope. The power of the Holy Spirit awakened us to believe God’s promises at the moment of our salvation, and He continues to open our eyes to the truth of God’s Word. We become hopeful, joyful, peaceful children of God simply by believing. We live by His promises and we abound in hope that cannot be exhausted. The believer’s hope is a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ and the joyful certainty that we will one day see Him when He is revealed in all His glory.

Dear Lord,

I know that true hope, joy and peace are found in You alone. You have given me true peace in even the most trying circumstances. I pray that Your hope will overflow from me so that I can share it. I ask You to lead me to someone who needs the joy and peace that comes only from believing Your Word. Thank You for promising me a more glorious future than I can even imagine.

I love You, Lord.
