“I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot.  Would that you were either cold or hot!  So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of My mouth.”   Revelation 3:15-16 (ESV)

This is a chilling rebuke.  Am I guilty of being lukewarm today?  Have I lost the excitement of running to Jesus to meet with Him in prayer and studying His Word?  We know that His rebukes are spoken out of kindness to lead us back to our first love.  Let us run with joy to the source of our Living Water.

Gracious Heavenly Father,

We confess that at times we can depend on ourselves rather than You.  Help us to remain close to You so that Your Living Water overflows from us to others who need a cold cup of refreshment or a hot cup of comfort.   Give us divine appointments today that we may share with others what You so freely have given to us.  

I love You, Lord.
