But the Lord answered her, “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things, but one thing is necessary.  Mary has chosen the good portion, which will not be taken away from her.”  Luke 10:41-42 (ESV)

Do you feel like Martha in the midst of this holiday season?  It is easy to feel overwhelmed and anxious during this joyful but busy, time of year.  Being busy and serving others are not bad things but we must remember to do the most important thing first. Remember to sit at the foot of your Savior.

Dear Jesus,

We want to adore You with our whole hearts- we genuinely want to choose the One thing that is the most important.  Draw us to Your feet in worship and thanksgiving before all other activities.  You are our Prince of Peace, Mighty God, and Wonderful Counselor.

I love you, Lord.
