For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.   Ephesians 2:10 (NAS)

Do you think of yourself first and foremost as God’s workmanship? What a life-giving truth! You are chosen. The Lord of all creation loves you and chose you to be His own. And for what reason? For good works- yours and mine are not likely to be the same, but we would do well to pray for direction. Being in the center of His will is the by far the best place to be.

Dear Lord, 

Thank you for reminding me that my circumstances do not define me. My identity is rooted in You. Whatever is going on in my life, I know I am Your child. You created me on purpose and for a purpose. Help me to see myself as you see me, and to truly embrace my identity in You. I am Yours. I am chosen.

I love You, Lord.
