Our God is the God of hope. Hope, in Scripture, is absolute confidence in God’s promises, rooted in past events and certain of coming wonders. We are filled with joy and peace when we choose to believe – there is the action on our part. We choose. We believe. We decide to trust Him even when we have no answers to the whys. It’s a continual choice – day to day, moment by moment, that yields an overflowing hope. The Holy Spirit grants us this hope that transcends all boundaries regardless of what changes we face.

Dearest Lord,

You are truly my God of Hope – hope that is founded on Your unchangeable Word. Thank You for loving me enough to reach through all the entanglements of life and make Yourself known to me. Please encourage me to share Your living hope with others.
