For all flesh is like grass, and its glory like the flower of the grass. The grass withers, and the flower falls off, But the Word of the Lord endures forever. 1 Peter 1:24 -25 (NAS)

Opinions and trends change continually, but God has given us a firm foundation that won’t crumble- His inspired Word, His eternal truth. When you have read the same Scripture many times, but today it speaks directly to you, perhaps it’s God’s voice, guiding and revealing to you what He wants you to hear. His Word is intended to change us, and when you approach it that way, you may find that He has been speaking to you all along. Only after we obey do we see His holiness, so we trust Him. He chose you from before the foundation of the world to walk in His specific path for you. Is your heart brave enough to obey? 

Dear Lord,

Sometimes discernment is difficult. We know You want to use us for Your purposes, but what if we misunderstand? Please help me to listen to Your Holy Spirit who whispers to my mind and heart- and prompt me to obey. It is my heart’s desire to do what You want me to do.
