A large part of the Christian life is exchange. We exchange our sin for His righteousness, God’s wrath for His grace, our punishment for His reward. God makes us better, not by improving the person within, but by making us new. Our greatest aspiration, His holiness, is something we could never accomplish on our own, so He sent us Jesus. Our perfect, sinless Savior literally became sin on our behalf so that we can exchange our shame for His favor, and at last, our faith for sight! O glorious day!

Dear Lord,

There are so many people I love and things I enjoy doing that sometimes it’s hard to imagine that the best is yet to come! But I know it’s true, and sometimes I need to stop everything and focus on You. When I consider the exchange You made for me, I am awestruck.

I love You, Lord.
