Morning Moments at FBC Senoia

Starting everyday with the JOY of the Lord!

Friday October 31, 2025

Whether it was two days, or a month, or a longer time, that the cloud continued over the tabernacle, abiding there, the people of Israel remained in camp and did not set out, but when it lifted they set out.  At the command of the LORD they camped, and at the command of the LORD they set out.                                                        Numbers 9:22-23a (ESV)

During their time in the wilderness, the Israelites learned to stay in the presence of God because His presence was their guide.  God gave them a visible sign of His Presence, and they had only to follow the Light when He moved and stay close to the Light when He remained in place.  The same is true for us today.  Each new day will bring new decisions to make.  Will I follow God’s guiding light or choose to trust in my own understanding?

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for giving us the Light of the World as our guide and comforter.  Thank You for Your Word, the lamp unto our feet, so that we can follow You step by step. Help me to submit to Your guidance, not moving ahead of You nor lagging behind. I long to stay close to You, my Good Shepherd and Loving Father.

I love You, Lord.

Amen.
