Seek the LORD and His strength; Seek His face continually. 1 Chronicles 16:11

The word translated “seek” here, means to chase after or persistently pursue with heart, mind, and spirit. Relinquishing self-sufficiency and independence, we actively search for His presence (“face”), and depend upon His unlimited strength to enable us to meet all of life’s challenges. To seek Him continually, look for where He is at work in your life. Pray throughout the day, thank Him for the small things, and focus on His presence. Pursue intimacy with God above all else. Those who diligently seek Him will find Him (Proverbs 8:17).  

Dear Lord,

There is nowhere I would rather be than in Your presence. I know You are always with me, and my heart overflows with gratitude as I remember Your goodness and all the ways You have helped me throughout my life. I rejoice in the realization that I belong to You.
