Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful. John 14:27 (NAS)
Peace- world peace, green peace, make peace, peace and quiet, peace of mind, inner peace. It would be fair to say that people long for peace, but most find it elusive or temporary at best. That’s because the world’s peace is a façade- a superficial illusion that won’t stand when new challenges arise. By contrast, the peace of Jesus is true tranquility, not dependent on circumstances. It is genuine comfort and strength from God, characterized by security and freedom from fear. Jesus’ peace is a gift- unconditionally and generously poured out on us- and intangible gift of incalculable value. Peace be with you.
Dear Lord,
I receive Your peace gratefully and trust You to hold me in Your arms regardless of the battles I face. You have comforted me in trials, encouraged me in faith, and always kept me secure in Your love. I choose Your peace, Lord, over anything the world has to offer.
I love You, Lord.
Amen
