Morning Moments at FBC Senoia

Starting everyday with the JOY of the Lord!

Monday October 6, 2025

Shout joyfully to God all the earth; Sing the glory of His name. Make His praise glorious.       Psalm 66:1-2 (NAS)

From the end of the earth I call to Thee, when my heart is faint; Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.   Psalm 61:2 (NAS)

True worship can be found throughout the Psalms, poems and songs largely attributed to King David, “a man after God’s own heart.” (1Samuel 3:14) Over and over, David pours out his heart to God. But worship does not always celebrate and rejoice. Sometimes true worship manifests itself in fear, tears, and sorrow. The essence of worship lies in our hearts’ true understanding of who God is. He is with us in dejection as well as in joy. He hears our cries, and ultimately, despair is translated into faith; overwhelming uncertainty and fear are transformed by the sweet assurance that He has never failed us, and He never will. Bring Him all your worship – He is waiting for you.

Most gracious Heavenly Father,

I will praise You in life’s triumphs and cry out to You in pain. When I am troubled, anxious, and fearful, I will bring all my cares to You. Fear is temporary and pain will end, but You are steadfast and strong. All my hope is in You.

I love You, Lord.

Amen.
