Starting everyday with the JOY of the Lord!

He who did not spare his own son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? Romans 8:32 ESV

As God’s children, we have received the greatest gift imaginable.  In our underserving state, He took the penalty for our sin and gave us eternal life with Him.  While his grace is more than sufficient, God continues to pour out His good gifts upon us daily. In His mercy and love, He goes beyond just providing for our basic needs and we should not take that for granted.  Just as we love giving good gifts to our children or loved ones, He loves to bless us.

Heavenly Father,

How can we find adequate words to thank You for Your saving grace, Your abiding Presence, and for Your daily provisions?  But so many times You go above and beyond our basic needs to lavish Your good gifts upon us.  It was enough that You provided my basic food today, but You provided a variety!  It was enough that You provided one good friend, but You provided a church full of friends who love You.  Help me to receive Your gifts with an open hand, generously sharing with those who need to know You as Savior, Lord, and Good, Good Father.

I Love You, Lord.  Amen.
