And do not judge and you will not be judged; and do not condemn and you will not be condemned; pardon, and you will be pardoned.   Luke 6:37 (NAS)

These words were spoken by Jesus Himself, so it’s a good idea to listen well. He invites us to follow Him into a new way of seeing others. Jesus sees people who have been lulled by a world that condones sin, and He offers them something new.  When we judge and condemn, we lose sight of the fact that we too lived as sinners in a broken world, and we were bought at the high cost of Jesus’ life. We have no right to judge. When the Holy Spirit convicted us of sin, He didn’t leave us in condemnation; He led us to our Savior. He offered the judgement of love and compassion, and we must do the same. Our response when we recognize sin in others should be to treat them as we have been treated. How can we withhold pardon when we have been overwhelmingly pardoned ourselves? .The Lord forgives quickly and calls us to do the same.

Dear Lord,

I will never get over the fact that You saved me while I was living in my sin. There were no conditions, and You restored a very messed up girl. Since then, You have poured out blessings in my life that I could never deserve.  Remind me not to be critical of others, but to see them as You do, with eyes of compassion. Help me to show them the love of Jesus.

I love You, Lord.Amen
