Christians sometimes endure condescension from the world of unbelievers. We are told that faith is a “crutch” for those who are weak. We know better. Our faith is a firmly rooted expectation, a certainty about the future that is as real as our present. Reasons for our faith are understood spiritually, not provable by sensory perception. The world was formed not by visible forces, but by the word of God’s mouth. We didn’t see it happen, but we see around us the evidence of His intelligence, artistry, and power. In the same way, we have absolute confidence of things we have not yet seen, the certainty of God’s promises being fulfilled. Faith does not contradict reason-it goes beyond reason. 

Dear Lord, 

 Thank You that when I heard Your plan of redemption, Your Spirit awakened belief in my heart. I may never understand Your choice to love me and save me, but I have never doubted You- my trust and belief in Your Word and Your promises has never wavered. Let my life bear witness to my faith in You.
