And one called out to the other and said, “Holy, Holy, Holy, is the LORD of Hosts, the whole earth is full of His glory.” Isaiah 6:3 (NAS)
Praise for our Holy God draws us closer to Him and demonstrates our understanding of His divine nature. In Isaiah’s vision, it is the seraphim who cry out “Holy, Holy, Holy” as they cover their faces in awe of His presence. The three times repeated Holy emphasizes the worthiness of the Lord to receive adoration and praise. It expresses His absolute sovereignty, His majesty, and His glory. It also speaks to His triune nature- God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, equal in holiness and perfection. Many other things in Scripture are said to be holy, but only God is Holy, Holy, Holy. We are privileged to be able to worship Him.
Heavenly Father,
I can only comprehend a fraction of Your majesty and glory, and I cannot imagine what it will be like to stand before Your throne. Thank You for loving me enough to break down any barrier between us by coming to rescue me from sin through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Please remind me to share Your love and mercy with others who need to know You.
I love You, Lord.
Amen
