We worship Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Think about that for a moment. We worship Him openly and regularly. We can meet in public places and talk about Jesus, participate in Bible studies, and listen to music that praises Him with our windows open! There are places in the world where those things get people killed. We are free to worship the triune God without fear. We can share our faith and engage in public ministry in Jesus’ name without reprisal. We give Him glory, and He gives us salvation, peace, joy, and unending love. Have you thanked Him today?

Dear Lord,

It’s easy to forget what a blessing it is to worship You without putting ourselves and our families in danger. The simple act of attending church is a privilege some people don’t have. Don’t let me take it for granted. Right now, I pray for persecuted Christians all over the world. I pray for Your divine protection. Keep them safe Lord, as they worship You in hidden places. Guard them as they receive smuggled Bibles, and guide them as they seek You.  Help me remember to continue to pray for them.
