Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; the one who does not love does not know God, for God is love.   1 John 4:7-8 (NAS)

Love is from God. As we walk in relationship with Him, it becomes more natural for us to display His love to the people He places in our path. Believers can impact the world by demonstrating God’s love  in even the most stressful circumstances. This kind of love does not come naturally; there has to be a change of heart. We experience that change when we give our lives to Jesus, receiving salvation and sanctification from Him. Then we can let the Holy Spirit guide us, and sincerely love one another.

Dear Lord,

I am truly blessed to know You and Your infinite love. Please help me see others as You see them, and be ready to speak and act in love. When it is difficult to love people, remind me that You performed the highest act of love for me while I was still living in my sin. Thank You for what You have done for me; please show me how to love others as You do.

I love You, Lord.
