Morning Moments at FBC Senoia

Starting everyday with the JOY of the Lord!

Thursday July 31, 2025

Behold, there was a man covered with leprosy; and when he saw Jesus, he fell on his face and implored Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.” And He stretched out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” And immediately the leprosy left him.   Luke 5: 12b- 13  (NASB)

Touch is an act of intimacy, typically reserved for those we know well and love, so it is significant that Jesus frequently touched people. He could have healed them with a word or a thought, but He chose to touch them. No one was too dirty, diseased, or sinful for Him. Even at the time of His betrayal, He touched a man’s ear to heal him (Luke 22:51). Imagine the physical touch of Jesus Himself.

Having ascended to heaven, He touches us today through His Word and the presence of the Holy Spirit- still so personal and intimate- meant for you alone. Have you experienced Jesus’ touch on your life?

Dear Lord Jesus,

Your touch means everything. Every morning, I wake to the awareness of Your presence, and the moment I begin to read Your word or pray, I know Your touch. You are tender and compassionate, Lord. Thank You for being with me.

I love You, Lord,

Amen
