Your word I have treasured in my heart, that I might not sin against You. Psalm 119:11 (NASB)
Your thoughts determine your actions, and your actions determine your experience- not only yours, but those around you, and that becomes your testimony. Change the direction of your thinking, and God can change your life! Jesus, Himself, when tempted and tormented by Satan in the wilderness (Matthew 4:1-11), quoted Scripture three times to oppose the enemy. This is our model. We can use God’s Word as our weapon. Create a battle stance. The enemy wants to keep you from allowing the Spirit of God to guide your thoughts and actions, but Jesus knows your struggle. He will be your strength- call on Him.
Dear Lord,
It seems impossible to me that I can discipline all my thoughts and actions to honor You, but Your Word assures me that this should be my goal. I am grateful that Your Spirit is always with me. Help me pay attention, to listen, and obey. I don’t want to be influenced by the world, the flesh, or the enemy. Help me to stay my mind on You.
I love You, Lord.
Amen
