To sum up, let all be harmonious, sympathetic, brotherly, kindhearted, and humble in spirit; 1Peter 3:8 (NAS)
Our Savior gave up everything to restore us to fellowship with the Father. He stepped down from His glory in heaven and lived a life of humility and kindness so that we would learn how to show His grace to others. There will always be times when we disagree with people in our lives, but we are called to live in harmony with them. Humility is the channel through which peace flows. We don’t need to be the greatest or have everyone agree with us. We honor Jesus when we choose to be humble. It is more valuable to be at peace with others than to be “right.”
Lord Jesus,
Thank You for coming to this world as a man and for showing us how to live. I can’t even imagine how much you humbled Yourself to come live on this earth, but I pray that I will never lose sight of who You are and what You have done for me. Help me to be at peace with others so I can honor You.
I love You, Lord.
Amen
