Why pray? Pray because God has ordained prayer as our primary personal connection to Him. It is essential to our Christian walk. So, pray when you are joyful and grateful. Pray when you are angry or upset. Pray when nothing is going how you thought it would. Keep praying when answers seem far away. Keep praying when you don’t understand. Keep praying. God is near, and He hears you.

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for listening when I cry out to You. Thank You for Your comfort and guidance. Thank You for always being near me even when I can’t seem to find You. I need You, Lord, and I will trust You to answer all my prayers in exactly the way You know is best.
