Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you. 1Peter 5:7 (NIV)
We all face troubling times in life. Difficult situations arise that we often react to with anxiety and stress. But Peter reminds us that there is a better way to respond. We can cast our concerns onto Jesus. To cast something means to hurl, pitch, or propel it. You don’t just release your worries; you throw them with full intent onto your Savior, and He will receive them and ease your troubled soul. He will be your strength. There will never be a single moment of your life that the Lord will not be there for you. You are a child of God. He loves you, and He knows how to handle everything.
Dear Lord,
I can look at my past and see so many times that You strengthened me and walked with me through adversity. You carried my load when I couldn’t bear it alone. You are closer than any friend or brother. Thank You for loving me and for always being with me.
I love You, Lord.
Amen.
