Lead me in Thy truth and teach me,
For Thou art the God of my salvation;
For Thee I wait all the day. Psalm 25:5 (NAS)
David’s prayer is a model for every believer seeking a closer walk with God. He acknowledges God’s power and mercy, asks for His guidance and truth, and declares his willingness to wait for the Lord. Like David, we can come before the Lord in humble dependence, and ask for understanding of His truth. But we need to come with a teachable spirit- a deep desire to learn from God and walk according to His will. It won’t always be comfortable, because God is faithful to show us areas of our lives that need correction, but it is worth every difficult minute. Have you let God be your complete source for guidance and direction?
Dear Lord,
You are the God of my salvation, and I am deeply grateful. Please help me to align my life with Your truth. I am sure of Your love for me, and I truly want to walk in Your way, relying on Your guidance every day. Be all my Wisdom, Lord of my Heart.
I love You, Lord.
Amen
