Throughout Scripture, God gives us promises of His faithfulness that we can hold onto in times of our deepest need. His faithfulness, however, does not guarantee a life without problems. In fact, Jesus reminds in John 16:3 that in the world we will have trouble. But He has overcome the world! God is faithful even when life is painful. We have a good, kind, loving God, who never leaves us to navigate this world on our own.

Dear Heavenly Father, 

There is not a day in my life when my need for You isn’t real. In the best, the worst and the seemingly tedious times, You are all my dependence. Your nearness holds me fast; I am endlessly grateful for your faithfulness to me.

I love You, Lord.
