God is faithful, through whom you were called into fellowship with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. 1Corinthians 1:9 (NAS)
The Hebrew word for faithful comes from the root emet, meaning “true.” So, when Paul, who was a “Hebrew of Hebrews” (Philippians 3:5), says God is faithful, he is saying that God’s character and His promises are true. Therefore, we can trust His Word and have peace, knowing that His love for us is unchanging. God sent His Son to be our Redeemer so that we can have unending fellowship with Him; we can stand on the truth of His Word and continually grow closer to Him.
Dear Lord,
In this world, truth seems to change daily. Thank You for giving us the Truth of Your Word. Thank You for Your steadfast faithfulness. Please remind me to turn to You in every situation and to seek You before making any decision. You are my King, Jesus. I am so grateful that I belong to You.
I love You, Lord.
Amen.
