With all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing tolerance for one another in love, being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. Ephesians 4:2-3 (NAS)
Difficult people are everywhere- even in our own homes. In all honesty though, we have to admit that maybe others find us difficult, too. We all have different wants and needs, personalities and preferences. Life can get messy pretty quickly. But consider this-how do you want people to respond to you if you annoy or offend them in some way? Wouldn’t you like a little understanding? Wouldn’t you hope for grace rather than anger or judgment? Maybe it’s time to determine if you treat others the way you hope they will treat you. That’s God’s way to handle difficult people, and He is a perfect role model for us.
Dear Lord,
Thank You for loving me despite my shortcomings and failures. Thank You for the people You have put in my life who love me and encourage me, and thank You for the difficult people as well. You have brought us together for a reason. I ask You for the grace to see the best in them instead of being frustrated or judging them. Help me love others as You have loved me.
I love You, Lord.
Amen
