It is true that Christians face spiritual enemies. In fact, if you are actively serving the Lord, chances are you will come under attack. Discouragement, doubt, and depression are some of the weapons used against us. But God does not leave us to fight our battles alone.  We use the shield of faith in our Lord and Savior, and the sword of the Spirit – which is God’s Word- to protect ourselves. Jesus will stand strong with us in every situation, and He never loses a battle! Take heart, child of God, and be confident. It is the Lord Himself who protects you.

Dear Lord,

I remember feeling afraid and alone, but that was before I met You; before I understood that I was Yours and that nothing could ever separate me from You. Thank You for Your protection. Thank You for drawing me close to You by Your Word. I need You far more than I can express.

I love You, Lord.
