By faith we understand that the worlds were prepared by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things which are visible.    Hebrews 11:3 (NAS)

Everything that is, owes its existence to a cause. If you have a house, there must have been a builder. If you have a chair, there must have been a carpenter. Since we have all creation, we must have a Creator, and we do – an intelligent, personal Creator who made everything out of nothing by the power of His Word. Therein lies the foundation of our faith- the Word of God. It is the power of life for those who believe.

Dear Lord,

Your Word is life. It is my source of strength when I am weak, courage when I am afraid, and comfort when I am sorrowful. But most of all, Your Word draws me ever closer to You. Thank You for this precious gift.
