Psalm 136:1-3 ESV

Are there times that cause you to doubt God’s love for you? Psalm 136 affirms the steadfast, eternal love of God 26 times!  This is the good news that I need to preach to myself: God loves me despite myself.  I can’t do anything to earn His love nor can I do anything to cause Him to stop loving me.  This is the radical love that God lavishes upon us who have accepted His free gift of grace, made possible by the atoning blood of Christ. Take heart, His steadfast love for you endures forever.

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for Your perfect, steadfast, redeeming love.  Thank You that Your love never fails, even when I fail.  Help me show that love to others, out of the abundance of love You pour out to me.  Send me to people who may be searching for love apart from You and prepare their hearts to hear the greatest message of all time.

I love You, Lord.
